Desktop computers, as the name implies, are meant to be used at a desk. They are not portable and are sometimes quite large.

Because they do not have to be concerned as much with power consumption, cooling or size, they tend to deliver more computing power at a lower cost. They are easier (read: cheaper) to work on and have many more options available.

Unless otherwise noted, all desktop computers come with a keyboard, mouse and power cable. They do not come with a monitor or speakers.
